Learning How to Learn: The Long-Term Impacts of Play

Breakout Description:

This interactive, games-based workshop explores the long-term benefits of play and lays the foundation for creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for students.  Participants walk away with ready-to-use group management tools, as well as an understanding of how to select and leverage games that support the physical, social, and emotional development of students.

Ashley joins us with a decade of experience working in youth development. Her unique professional history includes hands-on work in after school programs, developing and implementing elementary school programming, and providing ongoing professional development for administrators and school staff across the Wasatch Front. She is passionate about creating equitable spaces for youth and expanding platforms for community impact and collaboration.
